Thacher Montessori School’s commitment to providing financial aid is deeply rooted in our mission and values. Our community is strengthened by families from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Financial aid is available to full-time Children’s House through Middle School applicants.

We use a thoughtful and confidential review process that begins with an application through Clarity, our financial aid platform partner. Clarity helps us assess a family’s financial profile and determine their demonstrated need.

Once Clarity has processed the application, Thacher’s Financial Aid Committee reviews the information provided, balancing it alongside the needs of our applicant pool as a whole and the resources available. Each application is reviewed individually, with a commitment to equity and fairness, and a decision is made.

 

Financial Aid Application Process

Step One

Please start by reviewing the Clarity Family Application Guide.  This will answer many of your questions about the Clarity process before you begin.

Step Two

Visit the Clarity website and begin your application. You may refer to the Clarity Application Quick Reference Guide as necessary.

Step Three

Begin your application and add Thacher Montessori School to your student applicant entry. You can save your application and log out at any time and return later to complete it.

Step Four

US taxpayers: Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You’ll be asked to authorize the sharing of your tax transcripts and verify your identity. This is a one-time security measure required by the IRS to protect against identity theft and the compromise of personal information. Only those filing US taxes will be prompted to complete this step. Clarity offers two options for the enhanced tax verification process: “Clarity” and “IRS”. Please refer to the Tax Verification Guide to preview the steps in this process. Please note:  your filed 2025 Federal and State Income tax returns are required, and your filed 2026 Federal and State Income tax returns may be requested later on during the review process if further verification is required.

Step Five

Enter your financial information, review your application, and pay the $65 required Clarity application fee.
