Elementary Summer Program

Past Summer Sessions
Hiking Step into summer as we hike various locations such as the Blue Hills and Arnold Arboretum while spending the afternoons cooling off with water play and work in the Community Garden.
Drama Students will participate in rehearsing a play, crafting props and sets, and perform in a final production during the third week.
Taiko Drumming We will spend this fun-filled week exploring rhythm, Taiko, and Japanese culture. Time will be spent playing games, relaxing, strengthening our understanding of rhythm, and gaining a sense of the wisdom of Japanese culture through various activities.
Adventure Camp This exciting week of exploration and adventure is back! Children will visit different places every day of the week, such as the zoo, museums and more.
Band Camp Children will participate in group activities that focus on the fundamentals of music. They will learn music appropriate to their abilities by engaging in small, mixed-age ensembles. Students will learn to play one or more songs and perform at the end of the week.
Pottery Learn how to create ceramics from clay. Children will hand-build or use the pottery wheel to create unique pieces. Bring a bathing suit or change of clothes for water games in the afternoon.
Thacher Olympics In honor of the 2024 Summer Olympics, children will participate in a variety of games and obstacle courses here at Thacher and other locations, including a trampoline park and miniature golf course.

After care is available for all summer programs.
